The Best Thing Since…

I love when a smell transports you back to a certain place in time. To me, nothing takes me back to the good old days of cooking at my Grandma’s house more than the smell of fresh bread baking away in the kitchen. Yum!

Today, thanks to the Thermomix, delicious fresh bread is literally only a few clicks of a button away (and you don’t even have to get up before the crack of dawn to do it!).  What I love about cooking with a Thermomix is, it allows everyone to feel like a pro baker. The Thermomix takes care of all the technical side of baking – you don’t even need to know how to knead. Simply follow the easy to read instructions, sit back and enjoy the delicious aroma filling your home before you tuck into your very own homemade fresh bread.

This recipe makes a perfect size loaf to fit in the Jumbo Bread Tin. (You can purchase one of these online here or pick one up when you attend our Granny’s Kitchen skills and techniques workshops.

The simplicity of this recipe is also why it’s one of my favourites. From a delicious loaf of white bread to quick and easy lunch rolls to savoury scrolls – this dough is not just easy to make, it’s easy to turn it into anything tasty!
